Hi there, I’m Kate

I have been playing piano for 13 years and have grown to love the instrument. With 3 years of piano teaching experience, I hope to give my students an opportunity to learn and love music as much as I do. I encourage my students to play music that they love whether that be classical or popular repertoire, and while I study a variety of music, I most enjoy playing impressionist music including Ravel and Debussy. 

 

I am in my second year pursuing a Bachelor in Honours Astrophysics at the University of Alberta and I volunteer at the University of Alberta Observatory. This past year, I volunteered as a piano teacher with Heart of the City Music Program and I am now on the executive committee for the upcoming year.
